iPads will enslave us all!!

The iPads have come! We are the quality testers to check whether these iPads are worth the cost we have paid for them. Here are some feedback:

1. The typing keyboard feels really weird. The keys are too small and I always keep accidentally pressing the wrong buttons. Also, sometimes even though I spell the word right, it changes it to a different word.

2. Internet is actually faster than I expected. I went on Google and the page loaded in less than 5 seconds.

3. Youtube lag! I tried out Youtube and it was extremely disappointing. The video loaded really slowly and for some reason, after 25 seconds, the video just paused and stopped. Although the timer went on, the image just lagged and froze.

4. Blogger won't let me blog! Blogger lets me edit the heading and title but won't let me type down anything on the blog. Owen's iPad can but mine can't. Gerald had the same problem.

5. Google Sites are evil. Something similar to the blogger problem, Google Sites won't let me edit them too. I don't know if we can but, try to fix this as its really convenient.

6. COOL APPS! There are a ton of cool iPad apps that can help you in school and lets you hav un at the same time. My friend Nick has an extremely cool Scrabble application that allows him to play the boardgame whenever he wants. Also, there are some that are musical and can help improve your talents with a few instrument.

This is a fake ad I made for E-Publication. It is a Creeper Pet Rock Thing. Here it is:

It can become anything you want it to be! The Creepet can smell you in your sleep, blow up your dog AND always needs scheduled maintenance or else it EXPLODES!!

E-Publication =)

If I were to say, make a blog, I would want to get some followers right? Make my blog famous, like Machinimode or something? Here are some ways I could attract my audience's attention more:

1. Pictures of the Day

A small image of a fail or a win can always be visually appealing...sometimes.... Say, your feelin' bored and you come take a look at out site and find a really cool graphic of a videogame and you go, " Gee, whiz! I want that game! " And then, you head off to a nearby store and purchase a copy of said game. Its somewhat similar to advertising, but in a cooler way.

2. Music

Epic music can be heard whenever someone visits the site. Maybe Pendulum or A.A.R or Taylor Swift. We'll keep up on nowadays newest and hottest tunes.

3. Comics

Comics, comics, comics. We're talking about Spiderman, Superman, DC, Marvel, Bitstrips, any comic is fine. Once in a while, maybe we'll host a competition to let the readers participate in a bit of comic-making.

4. Gossip

My mom wanted me to say this. But, still, everyone loves ' juicy news '. Well, girls mostly... I don't have much explanation for this, so this is the end...

5. Video Game reviews

Gamers will love this! Perfect for people who want buy something but aren't too sure it's worth it. Any video game will do. We'll ask the audience what games we should review.

6. Videos

Some funny videos from Youtube to make you laugh. Examples include, funny babies, weirdo rappers, prank calls, series etc.

Warning: Some content may be inappropriate for babies, cats,dogs and lamps.

7. Movie reviews

" You shall not miss the reviewing of movies " We are gonna review some of Hollywood's latest, oldest, best and worst blockbusters just for the fun of it. So, bring your popcorn, coz movie night is on!

8. How to's

How to manuals can maybe help you with your daily life. Example include how to break into your doghouse, how to breathe for babies, how to not play the cards with a dragon. At the end, of the year, maybe we'll compile all the ideas and make a How To.. Manual For Stupidos.

9. Articles

Some weekly articles about maybe something funny or something serious to keep you entertained. One day, its about an oil spill. The next day, it could be about an exploding cow. It changes from time to time to keep the reader entertained.

10. Gadgets

We're gonna make some videos of us maybe reviewing or playing with some stuff like the iPad or Xbox commentaries. Maybe, not guaranteed, and with my mom's permission, we can blow up the stuff. We could paste some rockets on an iPod and make it fly! Remember kids, do not do this at home if you want to keep your fingers. Trust me, I lost all seven. Wait, wha--?

Well, here they are. I'm liking my ideas so far. Hopefully, I'll get enough followers so that I can rub it in my sister's face. Oh, yeah!

E-Public-wha??

E-Publication, a growing trend of electronic books and well, basically publications. What differentiates electronic books from regular,paper books. Of course, there is the fact, that E-Publication is safer, easier, more user-friendly and really, just awesomer. Here are a few examples of traditional media transformed into epic, electronic versions:

• CD-ROM
• E-Books
• Electronic Journal etc.

( In Russian accent ) THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!

Honestly, in my opinion, I think the world should make everything electronically publicized. Why? Let's see. Take babies, for instance. If you give them an iPad, what will happen? I know, you think they'll eat it and have a box-shaped belly or stuff it in their diapers so that it'll get real smelly, but, research has indicated babies actually interact. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! No more munchkins destroying your dictionaries. Heaven on Earth! :) Also, you get to use less paper. SAVE MORE TREES!!

But, how does this apply in middle school? Easy, how are the Friday Flashes distributed? Online. What about Powerschool, Moodle or Panther Apps? Online. See, my point? E-Publication is so helpful, it can wash my undies for me... No, seriously, it's unbelievably helpful and user-friendly, even a monkey standing upside down riding a unicycle could do it.

Likes: I like how it’s more interactive than other presentation programs I’ve ever used before. The ‘zebra’ is really helpful and has lots and lots of functions.The tutorial really helps new users to understand easily how to control the Prezis. Like what Nick has said, it’s a muffin of the computer world. It’s fun to use, user-friendly, is always nice to look at and full of chocolate chip cookies.

Dislikes: What I really don’t like about the Prezi is their copy and paste function. In order to insert a graphic, we’ve got to save it and then download it to the Prezi. We can’t just drag it to the presentation or copy-and-paste. I think that’s really inconvenient. The same rule also applies to other types of media inserted into the Prezi. For example, videos are not of the same quality as they were before being downloaded. Also, most of the inserted images end up being very pixilated even though it’s a high graphic picture. And what I’m worried about most, is that Prezi has the power to wipe out your entire presentation and that makes me feel afraid. I mean, to lose all that hard work, it’s terrible. That happened to Viet.

Challenges: I found what was most challenging for me was the fact that how I spread out my ideas to several slides. It’s because usually I clump graphics, text and colors all into 3 or 4 slides. Not only that, but, I’ve never really even tried to make my images blend in with my background but, since Prezi, I’ve noticed that it more visually appealing to my audience.
